Michel comes to us from BLT Steak in White Plains where he was the General Manager. Michel graduated from the Culinary Institute of Namur in Belgium, studying the culinary arts and hotel and restaurant management. Upon graduating college, Michel came to the United States and began his career working in fine dining restaurants including: La Cremaillere, Le Bernardin and Petrossian. He went on to manage Café Meze in Hartsdale, and L’Escale and Conte’s Market and Grill in Connecticut. Michel transitioned into hotel management in 2008 where he assumed the position of General Manager for several years at the Madison Beach Hotel, a seasonal resort in Madison, Connecticut. During the off season, Michel worked as a consultant opening restaurants such as Old Post Tavern in Fairfield, Connecticut and Bell, Book and Candle in New York City. Michel lives with his wife, Wendy, in Old Greenwich. Wendy is also in the restaurant business and is the Pastry Chef at L’Escale. Their daughter, Rachelle, is attending college at the University of Tampa.
