Dress Code

 

Proper tennis attire is required at all times.  Regulation tennis shoes appropriate for soft courts are required for all players.  Cross-training, basketball, and running shoes will not be allowed.

Men:  Proper attire for men is that which is designed specifically for tennis.  Tennis shirts with collars are appropriate, as are shirts without collars that are designed and marketed specifically for tennis.  Sleeveless shirts are not appropriate, and neither are t-shirts, shirts with writing, cutoffs, Bermuda or golf shirts, jogging shorts, gym shorts, basketball shorts, soccer shorts, swimsuits, or tank tops.

Women:  Proper attire for women includes appropriate tennis tops that are designed and marketed specifically for tennis, and which may be sleeveless.  Shirts with writing are not appropriate.  Proper attire also includes tennis shorts and tennis skirts.

JuniorsMale players under the age of 15 must wear a collared shirt.

Important notes

  • This dress code applies equally to Members and Guests.  Members are responsible for ensuring that their Guests are dressed appropriately.
  • Anyone wearing apparel that does not meet this code will be asked to change to appropriate attire or leave the courts.
  • If you have any doubt about whether your attire meets these guidelines, please check with the Pro Shop.
  • These guidelines pertain solely to the tennis courts and patio.  Tennis attire meeting these guidelines (such as collarless shirts for men 15 and older) may not be acceptable elsewhere within the Club (such as dining areas).
